Lisbon, June 21st - #TODOS JUNTOS campaign gathers more than €2.5 million for food and medicine
The #TodosJuntos campaign, which began in mid-May, raised 2.5 million euros for food support for families in the context of the current crisis. The total amount raised will enable the purchase of basic foodstuffs (milk, cereals, rice, olive oil, beans, pasta, tuna, etc.) and 20% of the total amount will be allocated to the purchase of urgent medicines.
The distribution of support will be ensured by the Food Emergency Network launched by ENTRAJUDA to respond to situations of need arising from the impact of the pandemic, articulated in the Food Banks and includes about 2,700 institutions throughout the country, thus ensuring the diversity of beneficiaries and a national distribution (mainland and autonomous regions).
The 10 banks that launched the campaign #TodosJuntos - Banco BPI/Fundação "la Caixa", Banco Montepio, Banco Santander, Caixa Geral Depósitos, Crédito Agrícola, Millennium bcp/Fundação Millennium bcp, Novo Banco, Bankinter, BBVA and Banco Carregosa - contributed with 1.8 million euros to the total raised.
Among the companies that joined the #TodosJuntos campaign with donations were the following: APCER, COSEC, Dignitude, Exporplás, Ageas Foundation, Grupo Bel, MysticInvest Holding, Nors, Primavera Software, Prio, Sodecia, Sogepoc, Sovena and Visabeira. Lactogal, Logoplaste, Missão Continente, Pingo Doce, Sr. Bacalhau and Sumol + Compal contributed with foodstuffs. These companies were joined by private entities that preferred to remain anonymous and thousands of individual contributions.
